Rain

The tide of fishes ebbed and flowed,
Out of the vacant lot.
Back lights melted
As Iris flowers too closed to sun.

Shadow of doves rose and fell,
Beyond borders of an empty square.
Cigarette ends drenched
Like puppets forgotten on a bench.

Everything changes.
A flower, a car, a piece of tobacco.
Different raindrops fell
Into separate seas
